Greymount is a goblin settlement seated on the southern most edge of the Weathered Ridge. The fortified town sits on mountain that has an atypically darker shade of grey due to its unusual mineral composition. The stone quarried there, Buildstone, is very sturdy but lighter than most other stones. Naturally, most of Greymount is built using Buildstone.
Greymount has both underground and above-ground districts filled with dawn and dusk goblins in relatively equal numbers. In 325 AC, however, the settlement diversified when the goblins invited a small cadre of deep elves to stay in their city. The deep elves create magnificent crafts in exchange for shelter and protection from the inhospitable caverns beneath in Weathered Ridge. The elves and goblins tolerate one another, but cannot be said to be friendly.
The town is ruled by the Grey Council, a sitting body of nine of the most prominent residents. Currently, there are five dusk goblins and four dawn goblins on the council. Rumors persist that the deep elves are vying for a seat now too.
